While most Podcast Fail within a year, TFG Reaches its 100th Podcast Episode

The TFG gang is back with our 100th episode! While most fail within a year, we are still kicking. Well, sort of. We are taking this opportunity to catch up because Life is Lifeing. Feel free to share with us what’s going on in your lives on youtube or via email.

The problem for a lot of financial podcasts might be with the topic. People fear money conversations. We’ve seen friends and family shy away from it as well. Additionally, we don’t clickbait. We like to have an objective conversation that doesn’t elicit negative or fearful reactions. With all that said, we are here having fun for as long as we can. Our overall goal is to impact lives.

Here’s hoping we hit the mark with at least a few listeners. We can at least count ourselves among the few Black Financial Podcasts in the industry.

Here are some reasons why podcasts fail:

  • The content may be boring per Dr Andrew Stapleton
  • Most podcasters quit after the first three episodes according to Disctopia
  • Poor audio quality can be a distraction and cause the audience to tune out per SLAM! Agency
  • Having unrealistic expectations about monetary return or results according to PodPros
  • The podcast host may lose motivation after a lack of results per Dear Media
  • Podcasts can be time-consuming to produce and edit

About us:

The Financial Griot is a play on two words (Finance + Griot) that hold significance in closing the wealth gap while embracing our differences. We tell the stories that others don’t. Stories about growth, opportunity, and embracing changes. Beyond that, we talk about Finances. Specifically, how to become Financially literate, incorporate actionable steps, and ultimately build generational wealth.

Can you imagine being a Millionaire in 20 years or less? Yeah, it’s possible. 80% of millionaires are the first generation. That means they didn’t come from wealth. We teach you how. Join a community of subscribers that welcome a fresh take on money.

So there you have it, The Financial Griot, or TFG for short. The hosts were able to amass over $3 Million in wealth in about eight years and are on track to retire early. We will gladly share the secrets if you want them since the opportunity is abundant and Win-Win. If you want to start, here are 10 Financial Literacy resources.
