Real Reviews And Feedback

Having a Plan and Getting the Feedback I needed

Lawrence and the net/max plan have transformed and pivoted my life for the better. In less than 4 years I’ve decreased massive consumer debt. Increased my net-worth by 25%, invested close to $30k in retirement savings. Now, I’m saving for my starter home. As a single woman, I can’t stress enough how important it is to focus & take financial accountability of your life.

In my journey I’ve learned about money management, creating financial habits, and the legal way to avoid paying Uncle Sam. Lol My life has come full circle, having the confidence to teach and influence others to take their money seriously. The youngest of six children, my older siblings look up to me to discuss money matters. I’m a true testament that his plan works. Stay committed, avoid the noise and build wealth while having fun at the same time

Improbable but Not Impossible to change

Impossible or I’m possible. Both are true. Depending on what you choose to have faith in – your problems, or yourself. Lawrence Gonzalez has a gift. And more impressively, he tirelessly shares that gift with the world (yes, the world).

1. He’s published countless articles on LinkedIn
2. Founded The Neighborhood Finance Guy Website
3. And even started a financial consulting service

Very few people will be able to look back one day and honestly say: “I helped thousands of people save millions of dollars. I gave my gifts, my thoughts, my talents freely to the world. I did my part.”

Read an article.
But don’t stop there.

Not only have I loved your content but I have loved the energy behind it. As a married millennial with children of my own, several businesses and parents nearing retirement age – the generational focus of your content has been invaluable. Health is wealth and financial health is a part of that. It’s the instilling of hope AND provision of roadmap(s) that I’ve really benefited from.

There are very many things that I still need to put in place, but the net max posts have nudged me forward. Our community is going to be ever so much greater for you sharing this knowledge!

Keep it going.

Giving out the feedback and reviews that the community need!

For the past two years, I have been utilizing the Net/Max Financial Plan along with the countless financial resources provided by The Neighborhood Finance Guy

Through this knowledge, I have been able to realize tangible financial gains. Specifically, I have been able to significantly lower my tax bill and kick start multiple stock portfolios. Simply put, The Neighborhood Finance Guy makes financial literacy easy.

As an accomplished HR professional and community advocate, I have sat through countless webinars and financial literacy webinars. Many of these training sessions leave attendees frustrated, confused, and unsure about how to start on a journey towards financial freedom. If you are looking for a clear place to start, The Neighborhood Finance guy will work with you no matter where you think you are on your journey. He is positive, knowledgeable, and passionate about partnering with you to reach your goals.

Making the Adjustments

That’s the beauty of having someone understand a different angle of personal finance

Contrary to popular belief, making great money doesn’t mean you have a great financial handle. If there’s one thing I learned from The Neighborhood Finance Guy is maximizing your dollars, no matter your earning bracket.

At one point my life took a great turning point, my income increased by over 600% and I found myself being very cash heavy. After losing money, I learned from Lawrence, without a proper strategy and not growing my money in a new way.

Although, I was earning a great deal of money however didn’t have a 401K or a robust IRA at the time working for me and losing tax advantages.

I made adjustments following the Net/Max plan that lead me to saving more money and in 2020 I’m leveraging our conversations on money to a new level.

That’s the beauty of having someone understand a different angle of personal finance, it challenges you to look deeper into your financial story and your personal story.

Lawrence has done a good job at challenging people around him to look deeper at money habits and personal habits that don’t promote maximizing your potential.

Closing The Wealth and Knowledge Gap

The Neighborhood Finance Guy, formally @GQ_Accountant has been educating people on financial literacy for almost a decade. His advice is FREE and it’s so GOOD. It’s not a get rich quick advice but the advice that takes a little work, sacrifice, and your own commitment!

Had I not listened to this advice as hard as it was to hear at the time; I don’t know if I’d be thinking about home ownership in Washington, D.C. I would still be working hard and owning every tax season. By reading and following the Net/Max Financial Plan, I was able to cut down my credit card debt, added tons to my 401k and my Health Savings Account (HSA). I’m generating new wealth and securing my future.

It’s just peace of mind and a commitment to breaking generational cycles with a goal to live free. If you want free advice, follow @theneighborhoodfinanceguy.

Effort and Growth

Just wanted to message you and thank you for all the amazing content you’ve put out. It helped me a lot to grow as an individual financially. Really have put a lot of effort and time into more research due to coming upon your page. I (now) set more goals for myself in terms of working on my net worth, prioritizing finances, and developing a plan on how to move forward for my future in more ways than one.

Appreciate the effort you put into your posts/blog and for speaking to me before on concepts that I wasn’t clear about.

No Longer hiding from Wealth

I was first exposed to The Neighborhood Finance Guy when Lawrence began his community outreach for financial education. His work as a financial educator and the way he continued to persevere in giving to his community really inspired me.

As a single mom of 2, I had been hiding my financial head in the sand and trying to get by. Lawrence has been a constant helpful voice in the background, encouraging me to get out of hiding and address my situation.

With his articles and podcasts, I found myself more and more interested in implementing the Net/Max plan myself and scheduled some time on his calendar. Not only was my experience getting a consultation relevant and helpful, it was also compassionate- there was never any judgment about where I was starting from. Everything we discussed, was led through with visuals and real life examples, and at the end also received additional links resources to help me follow through, along with an encouraging check-in a week later.

I have gone from being terrified of opening another bill to looking at the full picture of my whole net worth and creating plans for the future rather than just struggling in the present. I am excited to see where I can grow next, because he was clear it doesn’t stop here!
