Building an Audience Blogging is Difficult

I know. I started this blog back in July 2020. Getting started with an website is not as easy nor as cheap as they make it seem. Instead you end up paying a nice penny for domain, the template, and even the other stuff like SEO features etc.

Not sure who lied about it, but that person is a jerk.

As of 2020, there are over 500 millions blogs on the internet. There are up to 31.7 million bloggers in the US. Nearly half of all consumers read at least three blog posts before making a purchase. With Twitter pushed the idea of the micro-blog, the next evolution of this media is the video blog. This leads me to the most important non-listed tip; Reels on IG but definitely YouTube will drive the audience to you. People crave connections especially during and post pandemic.

Either way, we are in this space and on the journey. Everything from headlines aka click-bait, the content, the reposted content and the direction matters. Even if this is a hobby that you are featuring or a passion project that you aim to turn into a full time job, there are a lot to consider as you scale upwards.

Conclusion

Over a short of amount of time, Blogging has changed and evolved. However, the general premise remains the same. The blogger has to have a strong why, a commitment to writing, or just a willingness to share the journey. The challenge will be to create the one key cornerstone that drive people to you either organically or through ads.

Successful bloggers are can earn hundreds or thousands of dollars simply by building an audience. These are opportunities to not only change your life but the lives of others. While generating traffic has become extremely difficult, each blogger still has to contend with the basics. You have to have great content.
