Click Your Picture Me icon at the top of your LinkedIn homepage, next to your notifications tab.
Click View profile.
On your profile page, click Edit public profile & URL on the right rail.
Under Edit URL in the right rail, click the Edit icon. Now, let’s the magic happen.
Type the last part of your new custom URL in the text box.
Click Save.

Now the pupil has become the master. Go forth and share this information with your closest friends, so they too can be Icons and LinkedIn/branded people.
